Batch

aka lot · harvest batch

A batch is a single production run of cannabis flower, concentrate, or product, typically tied to a unique COA and traceable batch ID. Buyers should always verify the batch ID printed on a package matches the COA published by the brand. Batches can vary materially in potency, terpene profile, and quality even when sharing the same strain name.

Example: Different batch of GMO from last month — this one runs hotter on caryophyllene.

Etymology: Standard manufacturing English; adopted unchanged into cannabis QA workflows.
