Disposable

A disposable is an all-in-one vape device that contains the battery, distillate or live resin reservoir, and heating element in a single sealed unit. When the oil runs out or the battery dies, the entire device is discarded. Disposables are the dominant format for hemp THCA and Delta-8 vapes due to their convenience.

Example: Disposable vapes outsell carts roughly 3-to-1 in hemp retail.

Etymology: Industry term that became consumer-facing as the format took off in 2019-2020.
