Edible

aka edibles

An edible is any food or beverage product infused with cannabinoids. Edibles deliver effects via the digestive system rather than the lungs, leading to slower onset (45-90 minutes) and longer duration (4-8 hours) than smoking or vaping. Common edibles include gummies, chocolates, baked goods, drinks, mints, and capsules.

Example: Start with 5mg of an edible if it's your first time.

Etymology: Industry term in widespread use since at least the 1970s.
