Total Cannabinoids
aka total cannabinoid content · TCC
Total cannabinoids is the sum of all detected cannabinoids in a COA test, typically including THCA, THC, CBD, CBG, CBN, CBC, THCV, and minor cannabinoids. A high total-cannabinoids reading on a flower COA (28-35%+) signals a potent batch, but the breakdown matters more than the total — a high total dominated by THCA tells a different story than one balanced across THCA and CBD.
Example: Total cannabinoids of 32.4% — strong batch.
Etymology: Lab-testing English; standard since cannabis testing protocols were formalized in the 2010s.
